Big East Basketball Blogger Roundtable: Which Newcomer Are You Most Excited To See?
You know the drill by now. Thanks to Pico Dulce at Rumble in the Garden, we have an avenue to talk about basketball season as Mountaineer Madness approaches tomorrow.
The fourth question is: Which newcomer are you most excited to see?
According to Pico:
The fourth of five Big East Basketball Roundtables focuses on the player for each team that our crack panel can't wait to see on campus. Can they live up to the hype? How will their games translate to college? And why does Casual Hoya think that Kate Upton's coming to Georgetown's chic and fashionable streets?
My answer: Jabarie Hinds
Given the uncertainty this summer surrounding Hinds' clearance to play by the NCAA, it was a relief to all Mountaineer fans to finally see him on campus. Hinds missed the summer trip to Italy, but shouldn't have too much trouble stepping in and providing much-needed help to a dangerously thin point guard position. If he plays as well as most think he will, it would allow Truck Bryant to move over to shooting guard, which may be a better fit for his skill set than point guard. Hinds has to play well for WVU to achieve at the level it wants.
This was probably the most fun question to answer, given the myriad options available. Reports throughout the summer have been positive, as a number of the new freshmen and transfers have shown flashes at one time or another. I picked Hinds because of the high ranking he has coming in---clearly the crown jewel of this year's class. If he lives up to the hype, the Mountaineers can be pretty good. Who are you most excited to see?

I really didn't pay enough attention to the basketball recruiting this year.....
So, how’s the other guard Huggs got coming in stack up against Hinds? Didn’t Browne have some buzz around him? Can the two of those kids keep Truck from running point? [Oh please, oh please, let it be so!]
