Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Pilsen Callao, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.
The Mountaineers had a pretty good, if not great, weekend. The men got a much needed BE road victory at G-town and the women continue to roll, moving to 16-0 with a victory over Cincinnati. Over on the football side of things, Roberts Sands has made it official and will enter the 2011 NFL Draft, foregoing his senior year of eligibility. Several new football recruits have already made it official by enrolling early, starting this semester. Plus, there's also a little football game being played in the desert tonight...maybe you've heard about it. And finally, make sure you check back around 11am for the first ever Smoking Musket podcast.
If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE"). If any of you didn't realize, clicking on "LIKE" on the individual articles just likes that particular article, but doesn't "LIKE" our main page. Many thanks to those who "LIKE" us already. We now stand at 591 (a little progress each day, but at least it's progress). We're still a long way from the 17000+ for our old page, but we're working on it. Our next goal is 600. Please, spread the word!! Your daily links are after the jump.

I kinda feel sorry for the kid, but after what they did with Deniz, fair is fair (and that's strange from the NCAA). And it's not like he's not gonna get a shot at the NBA because of this.
