Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Is it likely to happen this week? Probably not. But it is looking more and more like Hogan will be back with the Mountaineers at some point this season. If you noticed Saturday, he was the most active player on the WVU sidelines. Of course, that doesn't mean much, but he certainly looks like he wants to get back on the field ASAP.

Of course not

If we were in the SEC, he’d have started practicing with the team yesterday.

I have to admit

I’m a little disappointed by this. One game suspension seems like an awful quick turnaround for a DUI arrest. I realize I don’t know all the facts, and I want to beat LSU as much as anyone (a task for which Hogan would be of great help), but I’m afraid Stew is setting a bad precedent that could come back to bite him.

On the other hand, maybe we’re just auditioning for a spot in the SEC and this is part of the gig?

Let's be clear:

He hasn’t announced he’s coming back. It still sounds unlikely that he’ll be back fro LSU. But it does look like he will make a return at some point this season.

We need him against LSU

If he played for LSU, and the exact same thing happened, he would be back on the field IF and WHEN they needed him. Bring him back, now!

+1

I think WVU needs him, but LSU isn’t exactly the best passing O. If Cas can get people in JJ’s face then I think he will be rattled and WVU will see a straight running offense, which Nield and company up front will love.

Say..

what you will about Florida, Alabama, or Tennessee, but LSU has run a pretty tight ship under Miles (prepared for the Miles jokes). I don’t know the whole situation with Hogan, but inside the SEC, LSU has kept it’s nose clean.

I think Hogan has learned his lesson.

Hogan will play

No I’m not speculating. I have an inside source who guarentees it. It’s already been decided and he has already been quitely preparing in practice. The official anouncement will come Thursday or Friday.

Again, I repeat, a person closely associated with the team has guarenteed Hogan’s return vs. LSU.
