U H O H, Its TURTLE TIME!
I, along with many others am driving on up to WVU and I am trying to figure out which cousins are off limits and which ones I can hit on? Reason I ask is I don't want to split up any families, as you all will surely need to circle the wagons after we drop 62 on ya'll.
On a serious(aka sport related) and non-stereotypical note- was the offensive line just inexperienced, un-motivated, or just outplayed. I turned the game off when Marshall was up by a lot, and then turned it back on as a roommate walked in saying WVU-Marshall OT!!!
Also, how is WVU Special teams coverage. We have a great punt and kick return crew and I wonder if WVU is strong in this suit or not. Thanks!

We over at The Smoking Musket appreciate some good natured smack talking.
And coming from a team that was 2-10 last year and had their opening game gift-wrapped to them by Navy, that’s pretty bold.
To answer your questions, the O-line is definitely a concern this year. We returned 4 out of 5 starters from last year’s team but given the way they played last year, that’s not necessarily a good thing. Some have said that their performance against Marshall was the result of Marshall’s D-line barking out the cadence (a penalty that was never called) and a few of our guys being sick. I hope that’s the case because if it’s not, we could be in for a long season.
Special teams coverage has been pretty good this year against inferior competition. Kickoff coverage, in particular, has been a huge problem the last two seasons and we appear to have that solved. But this game should be the real test.
Hey terpfan2011, you're a funny guy
but seriously, the cousin thing is pretty old. You know what else is pretty old? Our win streak against y’all. Did you know that this year’s UMd graduating class was in Junior High the last time the Terps won a game against the Mountaineers?
How does it feel to be caught in the Hawkins Paradox? That’s when you really want to fire your football coach, but you can’t afford his buy out. Maybe you could have a bake sale to help out with that, but I guess Ralph would just eat all the merch.
Oh, and you’re pumped about beating mighty Morgan State? Hell, you let them score. The freakin’ Akron Zips SHUT THEM OUT last year.

Well played, boys
i was going to chime in myself with some snappy comebacks (I mean, facts), but you guys covered most of the bases.
I will just leave our Twerp fans with a couple thoughts to ponder:
1. True or False: Maryland is nothing but a suburb of Washington D.C. ??
2. How many ACC championships and BCS bowl wins do you have again?
3. Is your coach fatter than Mangino?
3.
I think that’s gotta be a push, but with Mangino out of the game maybe he sheds a few to put the turtle too fat for his shell in the lead.
Be careful about the ACC Championship smack-talk.
Maryland was once the schizz (mostly in the 50’s through the 70’s). They were the ACC Champs outright 7 times and Co-champs twice. Their last ACC championship was in 2001.
And you cannot overlook their 1953 National Championship.

I guess....
I forgot to insert the word “recently” in my trash talk in point #2. Regardless, the turtles have been totally irrelevant for quite some time.
It’s always good to know the answer to the question before you ask? “How many BCS bowl wins do you have?” was a good one, cause the answer is NONE!

you might be right...
about all the rednecks and mountains, but at least we know how to play football.
To Maryland fans
No one cares about you or your team. This message board for the last 3 years is about getting rid of or keeping our head coach.
Your team is irrelevant.

Sweet, I have 3 high school diplomas.
Doesn’t change the fact that Maryland loses this week.

LAME
I am assuming since your screen name says “2011” that you are nothing but a scrappy young pup who hopes to graduate next year. Listen here, grasshopper – you need to learn a little more about trash talking. "Uh Oh its turtle time’ is not intimidating or even remotely noteworthy, neither are the tired old jokes about rednecks, mountains, cousins, etc. By the way are you really going to argue that the state of MD doesn’t have any rednecks? Please.
