West Virginia's QBs Ranked 78th in Country by Rivals
Yes, 78th, five places behind Marshall, and also behind such powerhouses as Ball State, Western Michigan, Louisiana-Lafeyette, Ohio, Troy, and Florida Atlantic. Let me remind Rivals, or anybody else for that matter, that Geno Smith was a Parade All-American who played meaningful games as a true freshman. His backup, Barry Brunetti, was the #3 dual-threat QB in the country as rated by -- yes, you guessed it -- Rivals. Generally untested? Yes. Short on talent? No. I expect this group to play like a top 25 group, not a bottom-half group.
