I've never watched much college football/basketball. Played D3 football for Wilkes U... Same colors as WV and all. Lived in Pittsburgh for a few years- that’s when I started routing for WV. Pittsburghers gave me shit because of my Philly ties- grew up in DE 15 mins from Philly- Huge Eagles fan. I was told Eagles and WV fans are one in the same. On a whim my girlfriend and I decided to check out the campus- seems like my kind of town, almost identical in character to the small school I went to in the Pocono’s (Wilkes U). Lots of pride, bad ass colors, bad ass swagger and a blue collar feeling (that’s a compliment) Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stick around to see the nightlife or go to a game but I definitely grew a likening for Mountaineer country. Seems as though WV is usually the underdog and you welcome that with open arms.

I'm no ship jumper, My family has Notre Dame ties (aunt played bball and uncle played football- not really my aunt and uncle but I have always called em that) and I will always have a place in my heart for the Irish- I realize I’m not winning friends with that but I really want to see more of WV. And it's not because of the recent success; I like the spirit of the school. I hope to one-day sing "Take Me Home Country Road" with yas

Anyhow, I hope to be accepted as a new fan, getting into it kinda late (I’m 26). I’m not jumping ship, simply getting into watching more college football, basketball and find myself gravitating to WV. I want to lean more about the school- my posts here may lack some comon WV knowlege but I'll catch on

Congrats on making it to the final 4… good luck, go WV
