Best post ever
LoL. The Hackman speech is perfect.
I’m a Duke fan, and have been since I was a kid. Most of you probably hate me now, but fear not, I am a life long WV native and full blown WVU football fan. My love for Duke came when I was 9 years old, when they, by themselves, shattered the dream of UK that so many around me shared. (I live in WV on the WV/KY border, so it’s a riot)
But, even though I love the Devils, I am pulling for WVU all the way. My old man remembers watching the Jerry West championship when he was 14, and I want this for him as much as anything. I follow WVU, and have since I can remember. They are always right there with Duke with my cheering. And if WVU gets by UK, like I PRAY they do, I will honestly be wearing my gold “Hail West Virginia” shirt if WVU faces Duke. I want this state and that University to win something this big so bad, that comes way beyond my love for Duke. Hope you guys still don’t hate me for it.
GO MOUNTAINEERS
We will win this game
by 7-10. Kentucky is a nice team, but they aren’t as physical as the Mountaineers, despite their big men. They are extremely athletic, but so aren’t we. This is another team in the path of the NC and we’ll prevail.
I would rather play Duke than Baylor, because I think we match up better w/ the Blue Devils. I don’t think it matters though, because WVU is the favorite to win from here on out.
The other side of the bracket is full of teams that aren’t as good as WVU, Duke or Baylor, imo.
Favorites?
All I’ve seen since we beat Washington is crap about how much we turn the ball over and how losing our point man will really hurt us tonight…ESPN says man for man Kentucky is better.
Just the we like it!! Its a dogfight but we win.
KEN
When we are favored
We always seem to play down to our competition.
When we are the underdog, we play to their level and bit them in the ass.
Tonight, Ashley Judd, bend over and show that hiney cause the ’Eers are coming to bite that ass of yours.

When we are favored we win and when we are the underdog we win
We just win and the only team that can beat WVU right now is WVU…..We are the favorites for the remainder of the tournament…..I’m not saying it from the media perspective, but instead from an X’s and O’s perspective.
Our defense is SMOTHERING and quite frankly I’ve never seen a college basketball team play defense the way this team is right now….that’s just what I see as I watch these games…..perhaps, I am off, but I also have predicted the last 2 games EXACTLY as they happened.
I still stand that I would rather play Duke than Baylor, but if Truck returns that makes a big difference, and I really don’t care.
I was stating at the local watering hole last night that we should win this game by 10-15, but UK was much more talented than I gave them credit for and they hung in there.
Good calls, Cbus.
I agree with wanting to play Duke. Baylor looked very athletic. The only thing I’m afraid of with Duke is the revenge factor from 2 years ago when we were bragging and asking who their McDonalds All-Americans were. But I still think we’ll be ready for whatever they want to throw at us.
