WVU vs. Marshall Friday Sept. 10 on ESPN
Marshall will do absolutely anything to get on TV, including screwing high school football in West Virginia.
WVU has refused time after time to play on a non-holiday Friday night in West Virginia. This is yet another horrible decision from an athletic department that is completely clueless about the state.

Do you expect something else?
From our little “green with envy” brothers.
They are practically salivating at that game, because they think it’s an auto win for them since they got Doc. Of course, no matter what the score ends up being, they won the game anyway…you can’t argue with a marshall fan because they’ll just say we cheat, we get all the state’s money, and the refs favored us. Then they talk about how they’ll kill us next year: and that talk starts with about 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter of the current game.
It is pretty crazy.
I recently had a Marshall fans say that they were 8 points away from an NCAA birth. They really argued that if they beat us, they would’ve made it into the NCAA tournament. They are crazy and totally lack logic.
Leave no doubt tonight! Leave no doubt tonight! No doubt! They shouldn't of played the Old Gold'n Blue.

HA
Yeah, because the difference between the NCAA tourney and the CIT is a win over WVU.
Simple example to give them, since you have to break everything down for them: UCONN.
also:
For a fan base that continues to tell WVU how bad we suck and how overrated we are, I find it amazing that they hold us in that high regard that a win against us is the one thing that their season lacked to get into the big dance.
Marshall
Smarshall! Non-issue to me. They may be in the same state as us but they don’t compare to Pitt.
Playing Marshall is comparable to playing East Carolina…..one of those games that doesn’t do anything for me
If you lived near Huntington you would feel different
I just think it is dumb to play Friday games because high school football means a lot to people in the towns across WV. That means less money for those school’s budgets that are already struggling to pay for road trips and adequate equipment.
Marshall is not relevant outside of Cabell County and thus does not understand the economic impact of moving this game to Friday night. Totally clueless.

Every team at some point in the year, some more than others
play games like this…usually on their terms though.
I’ve been fortunate to live in a Marshall-free bubble for the last 8 years. I just assumed that since Leftwich was gone and WVU was playing for Final Fours and BCS games they had accepted their fate and gone underground. I guess there really are still Marshall fans out their sailing around in an endless ocean of losing like Kevin Costner thinking Doc Holliday has the map to land tatooed on his back.
