CNNSI Combine Risers and Sliders
Jarrett Brown/QB/West Virginia: Brown was one of the few signal-callers who displayed NFL caliber talent today. His passes had terrific velocity and Brown's accuracy was better on Sunday than at any point the past eight months. He was effective throwing the deep out, the money pass at the combine.

An honest question:
What does it say that his accuracy was better yesterday than at any point during his senior season at WVU?

I think you might be onto something
As I recall, JB looked pretty good when he could drop back and set his feet. That didn’t happen all that often. He looked all scattergun when he was relying on his arm-strength to throw across his body on the run. But, I might be experiencing selective memory.

The most important and hardest part of being a QB is making quick decisions and getting the ball out of your hands. Anyone can make good throws when they have all the time in the world. But there are alot of bad lines in the NFL, too, and the QB doesn’t get a free pass if they don’t produce.
Believe me, I feel sorry for anyone that had to count on Selvish Capers or Josh Jenkins for protection, but Jarrett Brown is a football playing Joe Alexander. All the tools in the world, without a feel for the game.
However, Jarrett also had the misfortune of playing for Jeff Mullen, who had no idea how to maximize his talents (a la Alexander – Huggins).
Capers
Did anyone see his combine numbers by any chance? Very agile, but also very weak. Only did like 19 reps of 225, compared to most guys in the 30’s and a few in the 40’s. Is that an indictment of his work ethic, or Mike Joseph’s training regimen, or both?

I meant the comparison of them between the season
and the combine…just the eye test, not the stats of TD’s vs. INTs
