Virtual Groundbreaking: Actuality Stupid

As some of you may know, yesterday was the groundbreaking for the basketball practice facility and some stupid other building where the University holds "class." Instead of making everyone stand outside in the cold with shovels, the University sent out a microwave on wheels to do the ground breaking. Watch and try not to be embarrassed.

Is that the best we could come up with? Back in the '80's Arnold Schwarzenegger was a machine, The Terminaor. Now he is governor of California.  A machine is governor of California and all we can come up with is to place a microwave on top of a metal filing cabinet and give it Lincoln Log Arms? Really WVU? Really?

Not really.

They should still be able to better than that. At least try for this:

I mean, is a WVU Johnny 5 REALLY asking too much?

I bleed blue... and red, but that's not my fault. I didn't get to choose that one.

If it makes you feel any better

It was a microwave on top of a Snap-On Tool box

Actually,

I would expect that sort of contraption from our student body. Listen, our nerds throw coins and try to influence the outcomes of sporting events……People remember the sports teams, not the nerdy contraptions that will never amount to anything…..I applaud the engineering students (not all nerds…just most) for skipping class and waiting in long lines to get the best seat…Well done!

If your not joking it

Yet again shows a contemptuous nature toward WVU and a sense of being better than everyone else.

Leave no doubt tonight! Leave no doubt tonight! No doubt! They shouldn't of played the Old Gold'n Blue.

He's Probably Not Joking...

5th…I told you…the only way to go is crickets. I have said my last piece to you-know-who.

Now is the time boys to make a big noise.

Eek.

Yeah I’m not impressed with that video at all. I don’t have sound but boy, it looked amateurish. If you’re not going to do it right, why bother?

Hey, WVU....

…hire Dougity Doug next time you want to make a promo video that has sizzle, because this certainly did not….I mean, WTF? A beer-fridge sized robot named “Mars.” Come on….

"MARS" LoL

I’m still laughing. Country Roads, I’m sorry you don’t have sound. The music is amazingly awful.

It’s like a terrible, Ed Wood-ish level of awful that makes me smile.
