Big East fixes games
Hear me out and think about any big game in football and basketball the refs favor the team that helps the Big East. They favor Cincy so they can stay undefeated and go to the NC and here they suck Uconns proverbial dick so the BE can get another team in the tournament. I say F$$$ the BE, we kept them alive in the transition and I say we actively pursue another conference.

This is absolutely the most horrible display of officiating and free throw shooting I have ever seen in my life.
Let me just say that the officials were terrible both ways and were not the reason we lost the game. It was our horrible play and Butler playing scared.
Horrible all around and we are not going to get a first round bye because we cannot handle quick athletic teams. We lose to Nova and GTown. It is impossible for us to guard people. Impossible.

At this rate, we will loose to Georgetown and Villanova. Have we overachieved once this season? Maybe Pitt and Ohio State, and that is it. Not sure we deserve our ranking.

I watched the replay of that ref listening intently to Huggs, then go over and call a technical. That is BULLSHIT! If you have a problem with the coach, walk away or otherwise show some dissatisfaction with his demeanor, don’t just bend a listening ear then toss him out. What an idiot. The refs were out for us tonight.

Hey guys, UConn fan here.
Not trying to be a dick or anything.
Out of curiosity, did you guys think the refs favored UConn in the 2nd half, or were they equally ticky-tacky and awful on both sides?
You guys have a great team, I wouldn’t feel too bad about a road loss. Come the Tourny, the way you guys (normally) shoot the lights and out and board will bring you far.
Fold the football program, and deposit monies previously budgeted for said program into a savings account in Coach Calbertus Magnus's name.

I’m with you on the inconsistency. I don’t mind rough play (this is the Big East after all), but I’d like to see similar calls inside and out. I will admit that UConn probably got some help in the first half, though I think the second half was equally atrocious for both teams*.
*Huggins ejection excepted. That was absurd.

I think he was trying to send a message to the team. That message was, “I’M giving my all. What are you giving?”
I hope it was received. The Huskies won tonight because they really WANTED to beat us. We would have LIKED to win. It makes all the difference. Come March, we’ll face some two bit upstart team in the first two rounds, they’ll want to play cinderella, and we’ll let them. I’m disgusted.
Da'Sean Butler
is an overrated Big East player. The fact that he is considered for BEPOY is a joke. I certainly think he’s a nice player, but again, overrated. Although I can’t go as far as calling him a choke artist, he visibly gets “tight” when the pressure mounts (not just in this game but in others).
I have said all year that WVU isn’t a Top 10 team. We aren’t a Top 15 team, imo. Devin Ebanks walking off the court w/ 15 seconds instead of congratulating the Huskies was embarassing. I consider the job of Bob Huggins this season to be comparable to his football counterpart, Stewart.
We aren’t big, we aren’t playing solid defense in the last 5, and shot selection by Kevin Jones and others at times makes me want to put cigarette butts out on my eyeballs.

but listened to the post game comments made my Coach Huggs. While the loss still sours the stomach, I am more than PROUD that this man is coaching our basketball team. Finally a coach who gets it (I know Stew gets it; it just doesn’t come across as eloquently when he says it) and I am so happy that he seems loyal to the program, the state and our college athletes. Not sure where the players heads were at last night, but I think Bob Huggins will get them set straight.
