1st Half

We played a very good first half IMHO. Pitt played OK, as expected at home, but Huggs will get our guys fired up during halftime and I believe we should win this one going away like we did a week ago. LET’S GOOOOOO!!!

WTF?

Let’s just stop playing for the last 4-5 minutes of regulation.

2nd OT!

…but we are so inconsistent in shooting, WTF?

by WVEeR on Feb 12, 2010 11:45 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Kudos to Butler

for making 3 FTs, after choking on so many. Maybe we can work our way back into this one…

Really?

That’s all there is to it? Outcoached? How about the fact that we miss all the free throws down the stretch? That’s why we lost.

After missing so many against villanova you would have thought Huggs would have practiced FT. He stresses defense so much the rest of our game suffers. I wish we could combine Beleins fundamentals and offense with huggins D and rebounding.

Turds to Butler

for choking on all those free throws. We’re looking mighty poor, choking on all those lost opportunities.

every facet of the game was FUBAR’D…. coaching, ball handling, shot selection, free throws, turnovers, clock management….. snowballing season falling apart at the seams….

God damned mutha fucka

I cannot believe we rolled over and died at the end of regulation. Respectable effort in OT but still. Pitty played out of their mind. We lost our confidence. I hate being the favorite. We rarely look like a confident top 5 team.

terrible plays drawn up, terrrrrible shot selection, terrible FT, terrible everything we deserved to lose.

Section 4. Player Out of Bounds
Art. 1. A player who steps out of bounds under his own volition and then
becomes the first player to touch the ball after returning to the playing court
has committed a violation.

We got the raw end of the deal before Gibbs hit the 3 to tie it. Obviously the refs didn’t blow this game for us, we did that to ourselves. But it just sucks that the officials can’t make the correct calls when they are literally staring right at the play in question.

Big East refs are worst in the country. They don’t deserve to ref a high school game. All season long they have affected the outcomes of games.

How Far do we drop?

2 straight losses albeit to ranked teams. I have one question , Do we practice?

Probably no lower than 10

Purdue, Georgetown, Duke, and K-State will most likely jump us.

A great team...

takes full advantage of the second chances it was given in those overtimes.

It was a bad showing for Huggs coaching abilities and it is games like this, why he does not have a great record in the NCAA tournament.

Leave no doubt tonight! Leave no doubt tonight! No doubt! They shouldn't of played the Old Gold'n Blue.

grammar sucks

but point is well taken. heck, we had a mental letdown last year in the tournament.

It’s Sunday and I’m still upset. Need to rachet down those expectations again. and still hope we beat providence.

I'm disappointed, sure

but I’d rather lose now, than March
