The Shotgun/Throwdown: Robert Morris Gameday (12/7/10) Edition

Coldcock_medium

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions.  We're being brought to you today by Cold Cock Winter Porter because (insert your own sophomoric phallic joke here).

Huggs and the men will attempt to should get back on the winning side of things tonight when they take on seemingly perennial WVU opponent Robert Morris tonight at the Coliseum.  Now that the bowl situation has settled down a bit, we can expect more and more basketball coverage.  But, back on the football side of things, today starts an even three weeks of bowl prep (including light work during finals week).

If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE").  If any of you didn't realize, clicking on "Like" on the individual articles just likes that particular article, but not our main page.  Many thanks to those who "Like" us already.  We are up to 385 now (still a far cry from the 19000+ for our old page, but baby steps people...baby steps).  Our next goal to get to 400.  C'mon people, spread the word!!  Your daily dose is after the jump...

Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just Wondering:

How is this a perennial matchup if we haven’t met since 2001?

by Country Roads on Dec 7, 2010 10:44 AM EST reply actions

ok

seemingly perennial…my bad

by WVUIE97 on Dec 7, 2010 12:00 PM EST up reply actions

UCONN +17. Thats comical, though I was thinking 19-21.

by EatSchmittPitt35 on Dec 7, 2010 11:46 AM EST reply actions

And yet,

That’s the kind of line UConn will end up covering. I’m thinking 31-17 or so, only because nobody is giving them any chance.

by Country Roads on Dec 7, 2010 1:21 PM EST up reply actions

Cr. I think uconn gets demolished and with that being said they will probably win straight up.

by EatSchmittPitt35 on Dec 7, 2010 2:44 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

Don't get me wrong.

I think they suck. But for whatever reason it’s those kind of games that end up going the opposite of how you think. Just as you said.

by Country Roads on Dec 7, 2010 3:20 PM EST up reply actions

Well, I Have Been Flat-Out Horrible In College This Year...

my first under 56 percent. But way under! 47 percent…thank God for the pro’s….

…anyway, I think Oklahoma has a lot of bad Fiesta Bowl memories, and because of that, they will try to appease the fan base with a serious ass-whipping of the Huskies. Remember, all the Sooner fans said that both Fiesta losses were the result of “not wanting to be there” and thinking they were robbed of a title game appearance. Well, they don’t have that excuse this time…bad news for UConn…

…of course, this is a guranteed guess, sure to go wrong!

Now is the time boys to make a big noise.
No matter what the people say,
For there is naught to fear, the gang's all here,
So hail West Virginia, hail.
