All time low for EER'S around the nation... I will personally apologize for what went on on that field.
Pat White via Facebook. Is he openly admitting that it was a mistake to endorse Stew as WVU's next head coach?

I'm going with yes.
To both yours and 5YS’s question.

Pat White only gets partial blame… MOST of the blame should go to Pastilong for being a wussie & not doing a TRUE coaching search & going on emotion & hiring STU…coming off the rout of OU, (which should be taken with a grain of salt, sense Stoops can’t win a bowl game to save his life) there was nowhere else to go but DOWN after that game…
WOW
Has anyone heard who a replacement may be for Dave Johnson? or is “the Holgie” going to hire that person? (BTW since not sense).
DH is on the record saying
recruiting and establishing his O staff is the priority….only rumors floating around to this point
Beyond last night
I hope Ollie met with Coach Stewart pointing to Coach Holgersen, “Whatever he says is whatever is done”. If Stew finds it too uncomfortable to follow coach Holgersen’s lead, then I’d support writing him a check and call it a season. Last night was just flat out embarassing. At no time since the 2008 Fiesta Bowl, in my humble opinion, have we looked like the consistant yardage gobbling “West Virginia Football” machine (except for the bone crushing #2 Defense in the Nation, don’t ya know).
Further, the folks that have made comments on the blogs here and WV news websites since the Holgersen announcement about being upset over his hiring I would think are quiet right now reconsidering their hard feelings towards Ollie. Yea, it may be have some stink on how it was handled, but handled none-the-less. Wanna see more of last night, next year??
Few observations
1. I find it extremely unlikely that Oliver Luck wanted the “leak” that happened.
2. Pat White isn’t culpable for anything. He’s the greatest QB in the team’s history and one of WVU’s finest people. Of course he’s going to go to bat for a guy under the circumstances after beating Oklahoma. The problem was clearly Pastilong and that one president before Clements (Garrison maybe?) and even Manchin.
3. Even PW understands the gravity of WVU’s situation. I have always found it amazing how crystal clear it was to me that Stewart was in over his head. However, it clearly wasn’t that clear since many thought Stewart was solid. I always thought it was just people wanting to keep him around because he’s a “nice person”, etc.
4. Last night’s game proves that Stewart doesn’t belong on a college football field as a Head Coach. As always, he appears confused, hard of vision, distant from the team and downright aloof.
Legit question:
Is it an all-time low? Personally, I was a lot lower after 13-9. And after losing to Temple in 2001. And probably after a lot of bowl games in the Nehlen era.
I really wasn’t that low on Tuesday. I was actually pretty emotionless, knowing that hope is on the horizon.
