Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Eat Shit Pitt Premium Lager.
It's finally here: Game Day. Along with an absolute smattering of Brawl news, I have a healthy spread of Basketball news as an appetizer for the main course. If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE"). If any of you don't realize, clicking on "Like" on the individual articles just likes that article, but not our main page. Many thanks to those who "Like" us already. We're at 341 right now (far cry from the 19000+ for our old page, but baby steps people...baby steps). Our next goal to get to 400. C'mon people, spread the word!! Enjoy the game, your weekend...

Tailgate Recipe of the Week:
It's the Backyard Brawl, so it's back to basics today (I'll be having my Jameson and water, though). Recipe courtesy of WikiHow:
Perfect Bourbon and Coke
- Place one Rocks, or Gibraltar style glass on the table.
- Fill 3/4 of the glass with ice. The smaller the ice the better, as more surface area means more melting ice.
- Pour 1 1/2 oz (45 ml) of your favorite bourbon over the ice. There is an eternal debate about which is better for mixing - Jim Beam or Jack Daniels.
- Fill glass 1/2 inches (10 mm) from the rim with your favorite "brown" soda. Coca Cola works the best.
- Squeeze in 2 wedges of fresh lime and place a third (unsqueezed) in the drink.
- Add one swizzle stick. (For swizzlin')
- Guzzle contents, repeat as necessary.
