Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Iron City Beer, in honor of the Backyard Brawl.
Ah, Brawl Week. My favorite football week of the year. The one week every year that I allow the hate that I keep bottled up deep down inside to just boil over and explode. And with it being Thanksgiving week, there's not a whole lot of other WVU sports news to distract us from that hate. That said, there's lot's of Brawl coverage is inside waiting for you.

I’ve had my fair share of IC light, but not this week. If you ask anyone what they think about when you say “IC Light” I’m sure Morgantown doesn’t pop into their head. Lock it up!!

I love it. We can all get behind hating Pitt.
Here’s a question for you:
IF we beat Pitt on Friday and IF UConn loses to Cincy this weekend, will you be happy given that, despite the horrible losses to Syracuse and Uconn, we would be one win against Rutgers away from going to the BCS? I’m not saying happy with the program. I’m not saying happy that we would be 8-3 and maybe ranked 23rd. Just happy and able to enjoy life for the week?
