Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by that college beer staple, Natural Light.
Bounce back, rebound...these are the terms being thrown around for both schools involved in tonight's game. You'd think it was mid-February. But it's not. It's the last of October. Both teams have something to prove tonight. Which is most capable? On paper, it's WVU. But that was also the case last weekend and we all know how that turned out. It's your gameday edition of the Shotgun/Throwdown. Come inside and get caught up with all the news before tonight's game (with a little bit extra to entertain you). If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE"). Have a great and safe Halloween weekend!! Make like Van Halen in 1984 and "Jump"...

Tailgate Recipe of the Week:
6 sausages (you can also use bratwurst if you wish)
2 ounces sliced Monterey jack cheese
1 small onion diced
5 slices of bacon
5 French style rolls or hot dog rolls
This one takes a little bit more work but it's still fairly easy. Cook the sausage thoroughly and then slit down the center. Insert 1/4 a slice of cheese in the center of the sausage and a little bit of diced onion. Wrap bacon around each sausage. Insert toothpicks to keep the bacon still and cook for 10-15 minutes.
Remove the toothpicks. Put in buns and add condiments as desired. You will never cook sausage the same after trying these.
