Against Syracuse, Gino had a bad day. So did the rest of the team, but it showed more with Gino. We made some good moves and plays, but many more bad ones. Gino was not throwing well. I have never seen him throw so many bad passes. His decision making to be seemed off and was too slow. My wife said it looked he had had a concussion recently. My criticism is that we have no back up QB. What if Gino gets hurt? We need to get ahead of other teams and then put in reserves so that they get experience. That way we could give Gino some rest and he can talk to coaches.
Also, I often hear commentators talk about teams giving the QB some easy passes to complete (usually to build up the QB’s confidence). Gino needed these “easy” passes to be effective. Maybe someone slipped a Mickey into the teams drinks. They often seem sluggish compared to Syracuse.
