The Shotgun/Throwdown: Friday (9/11/09) Edition

Naturalicegirltin_medium

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, your daily WVU sports news link dump.  Today, we're brought to you by Natural Ice.

Natural Ice, getting WVU students drunk since 1996.  I'm dating myself with this, but I do remember when this was introduced on campus.  It's Game-day Eve once again.  Tomorrow's weather is set to be low to mid 70's and a chance of rain (although that's been diminishing the closer we get).  I got plenty of things to prepare you for the game tomorrow.  So, let's get going and take down the Pirates...Savvy?  And don't forget to send in your booty...er, tips.  On with the show:

Tailgate Recipe of the Week:

From Tailgating.com

Mountaineer Fire Bites

12 Jalapenos cut in half and cleaned of seeds
12 slices of bacon, cut in half
8 oz cream cheese (you wont use all of this)
24 toothpicks

Wash and clean peppers well. You may want to use rubber gloves if you can't stand the heat.

Fill each Jalapeno half with a generous amount of cream cheese.

Wrap with one half slice of bacon and secure with a wooden tooth pick.

Bake at 350 for 20 - 30 minutes, until bacon is browned.

Bartender Gallery of the Week:

Why don't bartenders in Motown look like this (or at least when I was in school, they didn't)?  It leads to more, I promise.

Miss Throwdown:

Today's Miss Throwdown is the latest Bond girl, Miss Olga Kurylenko.  If I have to tell you all that the image leads to a gallery anymore...well, you don't deserve to see the pics.
