Rodriguez Gets Screwed, ESPN To Cover Live
At 11:30 AM this morning, ESPN will cover live the Rich Rodriguez press conference responding to (confirmed) allegations of NCAA violations.
Of course, while the Detroit Free Press and ESPN's Joe Schad have deemed these allegations accurate, Rodriguez and Michigan's compliance officer have denied them. Will that stand continue? From his time here, we know how awesome this could get.

as for me
I kinda expect a bunch of no comments to questions (if any are even allowed to be asked). I’m like a poster on BGN and wonder if Barwis will kick his ass if he throws him under the bus to save himself.
Lion King Over/Under
It has to be around 1.5, right? Higher? He’s probably watching it right now to mentally prepare for his presser.

Irregardless...it doesn't matter it's in the past.....
I wrote an epic story for the blog yesterday on this, but then my computer froze and foiled me. It would have been too hard to recreate such a masterpiece.
First, he did the same thing at WVU. So do most football coaches. Bill Stewart may not do it now, but he was compliant with it under Rich Rod, so don’t go holier than thou on me.
Second, I suspect that because most of our players were “underdogs” that they were willing to put in the work in order to succeed. While many of Michigan’s blue chip recruits who were used to the country club lloyd carr ran are not happy. This may the biggest reason UM underachieved while WVU was overachieving.
Third, every “voluntary workout” from middle school on is “mandatory.”
I don’t think what is alleged is that unusual or all that bad. What is bad is the dissent from within RichRod is experiencing, threatening to lose control entirely, and his new reality of a snoopy media. He has 30 writers covering UM trying to make a name for themselves by bringing down the coach. At WVU, he had the hard hitting questions of Mickey Farfari. I’ll bet he misses the sweet sound of Kevin Kinder, Mitch Vingle and Dave Hickman sweeping all indescretions and negativity under the rug. (I’ll also bet no W.Va. sportswriter starts asking the same questions down here, even though it is a story begging to be written.)
He’ll probably escape without NCAA penalty but this is another chink in his armor at Michigan. And with a 3 headed QB, this season doesn’t look promising. Another 3-9 and he’ll be a man without a job and without a homestate.
Also, he will not throw Barwis under the bus. RichRod is a liar and generally a bad guy, but he is fiercly loyal to ‘his’ guys. See Dusty Rutledge, Tony Gibson, etc.
I know he is fiercely loyal
but I think if it came down to it as the only way to save himself….he would
"Smilted Glover"
This just goes to prove that Mr Charley West is a “smilted glover”. Why in the world is this story gaining so much traction on this blog? We’re supposed to be talking about WVU football……..
Something that rhymes with jackass
1) It’s a national story.
2) He’s our former coach. This could have very well been us.
3) You can make fun without being jilted. This whole site was started to make fun of other programs. That’s what I’m doing.
4) Be quiet.
