The Rutgers Football Recruiting Video

Rutgers is a fine institution of higher learning, the eighth oldest in America, with an endowment of well over $500 million.  It is regarded as a noted research institution, attracting some of the best postgraduate students and professors all over the world.

The Scarlet Knights, the nickname for Rutgers University athletics teams, also boasts a long and storied history.  Rutgers football, in fact, played the first collegiate football game ever, beating Princeton 6-4 in 1869.

All of this is well and good, but in this day of high-tech, modern recruiting, Rutgers felt they needed that extra push to appeal to the younger generations.  To accomplish this, they spent millions of dollars on putting together what has to be the most cutting-edge, persuasive recruiting video this modest author has ever seen.

I love it. I saw plenty of Jersey types just like this when I was at WVU. It was like RU – Morgantown campus.

TandyBombs

I bet you when Tandy gets his “swoll” on at the gym he does Jagerbombs and then goes and tackles some people running on the treadmill….

Actually? Was that the Tandy in that video?

I love when “The Tandy” picks off passes with his nuts personally.

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
