R.I.P. Chris Henry
I just wanted us to take a moment of silence for former WVU and Bengals WR Chris Henry, who died today as a result of a car accident yesterday morning.
Henry's career stats:
Career: 5 Years; Rec: 119; Yards: 1,826; Avg: 15.3; TD: 21
He may have had his attitude problems early on, but he was the anti PacMan Jones and changed for the better. He was still a Mountaineer, and I hate to see this happen to anybody.
You will be missed, Chris. Rest in Peace.

I say we retire the #5 in his honor
Players who should be in the Hall of Fame
DIck Lebeau, Pat TIllman, Dwight White, Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Ray Guy, Steve Tasker, Greg Llyod, Andy Russel, Chris Carter and Kevin Greene
2009 Pittsburgh Steelers the Perefect Storm of Suck
Such a tragedy
Not sure if his nature again got the better of him, or just bad circumstances, but I feel very bad for him and his children. He’d gone from a mugshot to a poster boy for 2nd (okay, 5th) chances.
thanks for posting something about this!
It Is A Sad, Sad Story
My brother and I passed him in the hall at Sawgrass on the eve of our loss to FSU in the Gator Bowl, and I remember thinking: “He’s just a skinny kid with dreads…” and then later, when he was having his tantrum on the sideline because they weren’t looking for him in the offense….and I thought…“just leave, you prima donna….”
…somehow, those memories bother me now. I am sad that this is how it ends, sometimes. And that detail that he died shirtless…it says something, somehow, doesn’t it. Like it was a trashy ending….
Sad. Just…sad.
Now is the time boys to make a big noise.
No matter what the people say,
For there is naught to fear, the gang's all here,
So hail West Virginia, hail.
