Huggs needs to spend more time with Stew

After reading Huggins’ comments, I think he needs to spend more time with Stew. Stew would gloss Duquesne as one the true powerhouses of college basketball, hailing from the city of champions, and teeming with the greatest young men known to man. This win was a great win for the game of college basketball, the ol’ gold and blue, the university, and humanity in general. Our boys fought adversity and beat a great, great team. He could then explain how wonderful all of our players played, even those that played poorly, and explain that things like rebounding, passing, and execution are all overrated as long as you win. If Huggs can’t adopt Stew’s outlook, he needs to go.

Suggestion for Throwdown Sponsor

http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/brews/reserve-series/the-abyss/default.aspx

This is what I will be toasting in Oregon upon the birth of my first child (in a couple of weeks). If you are lucky enough to get in where you are, you would know why!

Also, last night’s game, we gave up a few too many easy baskets (read here break away dunks…I think there were two). In the first half we shot out huge then they got back into the game a little or at least the momentum and intensity slacked off a little. I like Hugginstein demanding that they not let up, a problem that I think our football team has had for years. Going up big on a team then letting our foot off the gas. I like stepping on the necks of our opponents and destroying their will to live, but that’s just me. We can be friends and talk nice after the final whistle. (I’m not talking about throwing a 40 yd td pass with 2 minutes left up by 2 tds…see USC vs. UCLA. I’m talking about beating a team in the first three quarters so we can rest our no. 1s)

I’m not sure where I was going with this but you get the idea…I think.
