They Remember November…

Bill Stewart has been saying it all week, "They remember November."  That statement is the absolute truth.  A win late is better than a win early.  Devine can still win the Heisman, we can still win the Big East and we can finish in the Top 15 (maybe Top 10) with a run in November.

WVU's season comes down to these next four games.

My prediction is 4 - 0 with Noel Devine being invited to New York for the Heisman ceremony.  You may say that I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one...

How do you think we finish?

November is definitely the most important month in all of college football. I see this November/December being a little tricky for us. We got Louisville coming in on Saturday and I don’t really see a scenario where they beat us. That being said, I don’t really see us winning at Cincinnati. Next comes the Pitt game. I feel like the crowd won’t even be a factor in this game. It’s the day after Thanksgiving and if we do lose to Cincy, we won’t be playing for anything but pride. They should still have a chance to win the Big East however and will come ready to play. I see the student section being very weak for this one. Kids can’t even show up when they are in Morgantown. I don’t see them rushing back the day after Thanksgiving to attend a meaningless game. Needless to say, I don’t think we will win. Next it’s on to Piscataway to face Rutgers. This game has looked much more difficult in recent weeks. I think we will win as JB (and possibly Noel) go out in style. That puts us at 8-4 (4-3). Not a bad year, but could have been better.

I love the optimism...

But I’m going 3-1 down the stretch. Louisville tomorrow damn well better be an easy W, I think we can come out of Piscataway with victory and I think we split Cincy and Pitt.

You forgot to say that they can also still have an undefeated home schedule. Not a bad accomplishment.

IT CAN BE DONE BUT

WE have to dominate Louisville on both sides of the ball..this has to be a 20+ point win…this gives us some confidence and momentum going to Cincinnati and yes I think we can win there BUT we may need to put all 11 in the secondary! PITT is the real challenge…we need to pack the house and if we have to let people in for free to do that then do it. The one sleeper in November is Rutgers and no one is talking about them so that could be the trap game should we be fortunate to win the next three.

4-0

Not a doubt in my mind we finish 10-2 with a BCS berth. We then beat whatever ACC is sacraficed to us (there is a potential for it to be Duke) and we are a preseason top 10 going into next year.

I wish I could be as optimistic as some of you

My head says 2-2.

My heart always says 4-0.

Right now I’m just hoping for a dominant showing against a terrible UL team.

We’re going to need all the confidence we can get going into UC and their horrible cheer their student section does. Too bad I won’t be there this year. It was fun watching them lose the “biggest game in their program’s history” – that is what they called it, right?

Hopefully we can shore some things up in the secondary before next Friday. It just might take a miracle, though.

I’m going with 2-2. We should get by Rutgers and Louisville in close games, but I don’t see us beating Pitt or Cinci. Our team lacks the focus on offense to beat Cinci, and the defense to contain Pitt’s O (since their d has been less than stellar).

4-0 is possible

We need to destroy the ville for our own psyche- kinda like takin a huge dump- get all that badness out.

Nice Call Q

I’m in your camp. 2-2 at best, and another Car Care Bowl. Yee Ha.

We played great. Absolutely awesome game.

An awful Louisville team had more first downs, more total yds, more rushing yards, tied us in passing yards, won the time of possession, and had fewer turnovers. Keep telling yourself everything going great, Bill. You may even convince yourself.

"They Remember November"

For God’s sake, I hope no one remembers this game. Find the Men in Black and get that mind eraser to blot this from everyone’s memory.
