The Shotgun/Throwdown: Thursday (11/5/09) Edition

Old_bob_500mlnrb_medium

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, brought to you today by Old Bob Ale.  Twelve and counting.

I'm in a great mood today.  All I'm gonna say about it is this:  27.  I don't know about you, but I'm dying to see what the Krag's been putting down in his diary (hint, nudge, wink).  Even so, there's plenty to keep you occupied below and don't forget to send in your tips and requests.  On with it after the jump...

Isn’t that what you call your current boyfriend?

Leave no doubt tonight! Leave no doubt tonight! No doubt! They shouldn't of played the Old Gold'n Blue.

BTW

I really dislike ARod, though I’m glad he’s on the team. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but then again…..it’s me.

Protect your boys when going to Arkansas

"Polamalu’s lineage can be traced through several roots. Chuck Norris mated with an Amazon Queen, and on the other side, Tony Hawk mated with Mother Nature. The two children of these spawned and fused in a tantric love session to create Troy Polamalu. The mother however died as he tore through the birth canal with a spin move."

$201,449,289

that’s all i have to say…that is the yankees’ yearly payroll. the mets are next with 135,000,000, and the phillies are ~113,000,000. if people are paid on how well they play, then that roughly translates into every player on the yankees is twice as good as everyone on the phillies. the wonder is how they don’t win it EVERY year!

well...

i put the thing on 3 separate lines, then it took the liberty of pushing it all together into one sentence. then i went in and just put a huge number of spaces in between them, instead of on separate lines, still, it pushed it all together. so after that, i decided to put the million periods in there (looks like a damn NOW convention), that was the only way to make it work. if i could have, i would have just paid Facebook $200M to get it to look right.
