A little birdie has told me....
that the NCAA is sniffing around Noel Devine and his relationship w/ Deion Sanders, ala Dez Bryant at OSU. Nothing concrete at this point, but still disheartening nonetheless. I have also seen this reported at profootballtalk.com
I hope he also told everything is fine...
Because Neon Deon is his "legal guardian" any gifts or money given to him are legal under NCAA standards. Because of the death of both of Devine’s parents and early legal troubles Sanders took the talented football star under his wing and has basically adopted the young man.
What is disheartening is that you constantly bash and try to bring down WVU football. This young man has gone through hell his entire life and you get on here and start spreading half truths and lies in an attempt to bring him down. Are you kidding me? I will stop now and walk around the office because I need to find the shoes I just threw.
Are you trying to through shit all over the football team and program?

Deion is everywhere
Here’s a good article by Jason Whitlock where he talks about Deion being too involved in “mentoring” services. I agree with Whitlock when he says that Sanders is just trying to stay relevant.

You need to relax my friend. Read my post again….now read it again…..at what point am I stiring the pot?? I’m simply reporting what I’ve heard from my upper tier booster friend (who doesn’t live in WV)…….I was “reporting” what has been happening……You’re clearly emotional to a point where you need to step back and take a breath.

From that statement it seems that you believe or were told that Devine has done something wrong and will be punished. If you are not trying to “stir the pot” then why even come out with your “upper level donor” name drop.
Also, having internet access does not make someone an upper level donor.
Already, there are whispers that the NCAA might soon be poking around the relationship between Deion and West Virginia running back Noel Devine, though we’re told that no investigation has been launched.

Florio….I put the link above on it. I also was speaking to a buddy and he confirmed that he had heard some talk as well bout the NCAA looking into relationships in general (not just w/ Devine but w/ other collegiate players)….
I said disheartening because I hope that nothing comes out of it, not because I don’t like Devine.
I am guessing that you are either a girl or a metrosexual…..and neither are bad AT ALL….simply very emotional.

maybe they are looking around, but this is how the rumors and bad press get started. You made a serious IMPLICATION with your posting.

stating what I heard through a friend and what was reported from PFT (the above link) that confirms this.
No need to get upset at this point, just that it’s something to keep an eye out for.

but the way you word things in your posts (as well as a very visible history of bad vibes) gives a very negative spin to most of your posts. If you would have included that last sentence in your original posting:

the post becomes much more neutral and informative.
In this sports environment...
All athletes are guilty until proven innocent. An allegation of wrong doing carries more weight than being cleared of wrong doing. Why fuel the fire with by throwing in your upper level donor?
Media outlets bash us over the head when potential wrong doing is reported and then ignore the story when an athlete is proven innocent.
With what this young man has gone through, I would hope that he could at least find support from his one fan base.

I like WVU to win straight up, but 10 points is too much to give the way our defensive secondary played the last two games.
