I agree w/ Colin Cowherd, yet again....

He certainly knows how to ruffle feathers, especially of middle America, as he is quite known to have a West Coast bias (1st and foremost) followed closely by an SEC crush, which is understandable.

I listened to a segment today and I realized that this is exactly how I feel about the WVU football program right now.

He was talking about NFL teams being well run corporations.  Of course he discussed the Steelers and Patriots (easily the 2 most well run teams in ALL of professional sports, along w/ the San Antonio Spurs--in terms of revenue generation, excellence on the field, etc.).  He then discussed how many call in and email his show about how they believe he "hates the Bengals, or Browns, or Lions or insert shitty franchise here".  He completely shot them down by stating that he doesn't hate the team itself, but that he hates the administration/management of the team and doesn't respect this aspect "of the corporation" because of the poor decision making skills, etc. of those respective clubs.

It got me to thinking that this is exactly how I feel about WVU football right now.  I am a PASSIONATE WVU grad and love the Mountaineers but I can't tolerate the administration anymore.  I DO think that Ed Pastilong, overall, did a nice job in terms of seeking coaches, performing his job duties up until around 2005 or 2006.  Since then, I've seen things and heard back stories that have caused concern.  Additionally, Rodriguez was, no doubt, wrong leaving his alma mater the way he did but I've heard stories where Pastilong wasn't exactly at no fault either.  I respect well run businesses, as they are the lifeblood of this country that provide employment opportunities for others.  And currently, I don't believe WVU football program "is a well run business".

In short, the WVU football admin/management is who I aim much of my anger with as opposed to the school/team.
