Should WVU not exploit the CB area?
Complete and total shame and tragedy that Jasper Howard was taken well before his time.
On Saturday in Morgantown, there's a game to be played at noontime between two teams - - one of which has totally dominated the other for the past 5 years.
To this:
Just read a UConn redshirt freshman will be playing CB in Jasper Howard’s position on Saturday (Blidi Wreh-Wilson).
I can appreciate WVU doesn’t want to capitalize on a rershirt freshman playing in place of a murdered sophomore but you gotta think we’ll be running that side a bit and should at least throw a couple of times in that direction… the game must go on!
I’m fearful that if we exploit that side of the field just one too many times, the press is going to be all over WVU and rip us hard. What if it’s a close game and we know we can win in the end playing that corner? What’s the ethical thing to do?
Honestly, I’m not quite sure.
Mountaineers!

I don't think we need to worry about it too much
If all goes as planned pregame, I highly doubt anyone from the press would say anything. We need to remember that although it is very important to the players, coaches, and fans alike, it is still just a game. A game played for entertainment purposes and for pride.
Particularly in times like this, I am very proud to have Stew as our coach. I think it would be very difficult to find another coach that could handle this as well as he has. Hats off to Coach Edsall as well.
Although football is clearly not the most important topic surrounding this game, I strongly believe anything less than 100% from both sides would be frowned upon.
the offense's strength
is in distributing the ball in passing situations. As long as that is continued, they should have no real grievance.
Now if we throw 15 passes to Arnett (or whomever draws the freshman), then some folks might cry foul…
I think we should run/throw to that side all day
Starting at noon on Saturday, we have to forget why they are starting a freshman at CB. If it is beneficial for us to attack that side of the field, then that’s what we have to do.

I agree too...
Leave no doubt tonigt! Leave no doubt tonight! No doubt! They shouldn't of played the Old Gold'n Blue.

hmmm...
There really is no good reason to “forget why”. Even if this is humor, it’s humor of the unfunny kind.
pretty sure it wasn't meant as humor, but...
move forward and to play the game as it should be played
I have no idea why you took issue...
…with what I said. Really, none. It wasn’t humor, it wasn’t insensitive, it wasn’t anything.

I guess we didn't have to worry too much about it.
UConn’s relentless blitz pretty much ended any thoughts we might have had of picking on that side of the field.

thanks for the feedback
Sounds like UConn looking forward to the game. let’s hope WVU shows up as UConn is not an easy opponent.
