The Shotgun/Throwdown: Wednesday (10/14/09) Edition
Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, brought to you today by Grant's Anvil Head Ale.
It's Wednesday of "I Wouldn't Wear Green, Even If You Paid Me Week". I picked today's sponsor because I feel like I'm beating my head against an anvil with the same stories by different writers. Each week, the writers get together and choose the angles to be covered that week. It seems the stories of this week include:
- "Rivalry or No?"
- "To Schedule or Not to Schedule"
- "The Sweater Vest and What it Means"
- "Jock Sanders Speaks"
I think that's as creative as most of the writers will get this week and will beat these to death. Send in your tips and requests and I'll see you after the jump.

"The Sweater Vest and What it Means"
…is actually the title of my upcoming psychological thriller that I just got done directing. Think Hitchcock, but with more sweater vests.

Raia is awesome
Thanks for the effort on both the Ms. Throwdown and on the articles. In my more obsessed days, I found that if one saw HCBS’s press conference, you’d have pretty much every article written about the Mountaineers that week, with each subject being hit on a different day. sometimes the hometown stories are new, and that’s nice, but in general you could read only on Sunday and Friday and hit every story that’s actually out there.
That’s why I read your blog, as well as We Must Ignite this Couch, for different folks’ perspective and (heaven forbid) analysis on the game. I may get to one game this year, and on TV the shots are usually so tight that you can’t see all that goes on during plays, so folks who report back from the game often have better insight on how the defensive secondary is doing, or if certain receivers never get thrown to because they’re never open, etc.
