MAPOG: Most Awesome Player Of The Game
Alex finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists to 1 turnover, and 4 steals. That is a good all around game. He played solid as the point guard in the second half, while Truck was battling foul trouble and leg cramps.
Will anyone else step up their game to capture MAPOG the rest of the season?

I respectfully dissent
In true The 25314 fashion, I again disagree with Mr. 5th year. Ruoff has been playing attrocious basketball the past month, missing wide open 3-pointers more regularly than I thought possible, and the few occasions he makes them, WVU is already up 30.
Since he hit 9 3’s against Radford, on 3’s Ruoff is:
2-8
2-4
2-11
2-7
2-5
2-6
1-7
2-7
3-10
Those are not good statistics for a “3 point shooter.” He is not hitting the open shots to keep the defense honest and to help our sometimes anemic offense.
Are we ignoring that Da’Sean Butler is averaging more the 20 points a game in Big East play? Or that he is by far our best 3-point shooter, in addition to being our best post up player, in addition to being one of our best rebounders. Da’Sean Butler has been the MAPOG against both Georgetown and St. John’s.
Butler not MAPOG
Butler had 21 points, 0 assists, 0 steals, and 7 rebounds. Does 4 points and 1 more rebound make him MAPOG? Nope
I think it speaks to Ruoff’s progression as a player that even though he is so cold from 3 point land, he still can put up 17 points. He has found ways to impact the game in ways other than draining 3’s. His assist to turnover ratio is the best on the team. He leads the team in assists and steals.
Butler has been our most consistent scorer but Ruoff has been our leader and held the team together while Truck was having his struggles. Ruoff struggled at points last season but got hot when the time was right. I expect the same from him down the stretch, especially now that Truck is getting more comfortable.
Louisville will be a huge test for both Ruoff and Truck.

Butler
There is no doubt that Butler has carried this team offensively. Ruoff just can’t find his stroke. However, he is still playing great defensive.
It seemst that the number of comments has dropped a good bit since the website was changed. Too bad.
Yeah, this site just seems too commercial. I liked the old wordpress site better.

Comments do need to increase but a lot of the stuff we are posting is not as controversial as all the Stew bashing/praise of football season.
This site is so much better because it allows you, the reader, to insert more of you own commentary any time you like. You can be the one to push an agenda or post pictures of hot girls or tattoos any time you want. The site will grow on you like a sore after a wild weekend hook-up with an undergrad.
