This year
will be a down year for the WVU football team. I expect a season hovering around .500. The coaching staff of the WVU gridders is awful and might make it through 2010 before it becomes crystal clear to the WVU admin. that the head coach is a buffoon. Excellent recruiting never did anything for Larry Coker at Miami and it won’t make a difference for the WVU football team.
Columbus
the correct response, is “Congrats Eugene, can’t wait to see you in Gold and Blue!”
But you take a post about a high school kid getting recognition and turn it around to further your personal agenda. At this point everyone knows your opinion on the coaching staff, and most know where you can shove that opinion.
If you want, you can just post something like a ditto sign (") and we’ll know that its your same post bashing the coaching staff. It’ll save you the time of rewriting the post and us the time of reading your endless drivel. On that note.
CONGRATES GENO!!!! This kid is going to look good in Blue and Gold.
My thoughts exactly...
Everyone knows where I stand on this coaching staff — there’s no questioning that. But I can still take time out of my hating to recognize the achievements of one of our recruits (and future Mountaineer).
I wish others could do the same.

???
I reiterated my opinion because many posters on here think that recruiting trumps gameday coaching, which is incorrect. I never said anything about this potential collegiate player. To me he is just another student-athlete who can elevate the WVU football program, learn life lessons while doing so, and earn a top-notch education in doing so….All of which, I hope he succeeds.
If you don’t like my posts, then do what I do to 95% of your posts….ignore them :)
Really voice your opinion
If you want to truly tell everyone why you feel the way you do, do it in a FanPost. If it’s decently written, I promise to put it on the front page. Then everyone can comment, etc.

WVUC, everyone knows your opinion. The original post wasn’t about next year, it’s about a kid coming to WV getting a huge award, and that’s a good thing. But just look at what your post did. Ignore it or not, you’re one post turned what should have been a positive, slap on the back thread into a 10 comment bitch session. Congrats bro, if that’s what you’re trying to do then job well done. Whether you like it or not the kids do occasionally read these boards. Think if someone posted something about your son getting a scholarship, but some numbnuts turned that into a bitch session about the high school principal.
You’re not in your own world, you’ve got to share it with everyone else, at least until there’s a button where everyone else can ignore you.
CONGRATS MR. SMITH!
Great job on the accomplishment and keep working hard to become a better player. We need you to compete for the starting job and help JB elevate his game to another level.
Columbus, name a single poster that thinks recruiting trumps our win-loss record? Nobody, thinks that is true. However, it is part of the package of a good coaching staff. You need to have talent in the program to win football games.
Some of our coaches need to improve their gameday performances, no doubt about that. It was one season they can improve and if they don’t they should be fired.
Your routine does get old. You are kind of like the drunk girl at a football game that talks the entire time about her problems and how drunk she is, not realizing that their is a game going on. Congrats on reaching that status!

To borrow a line from Donald Sutherland in Kelly's Heroes:
Oddball: Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
Oh Columbus
Man I typically am with you 100% on the staff. But this kid is a stud. Crucify the staff if they don’t do anything with him. But we have got to give blue chip talent the support of the WV nation. Welcome Geno and go help the eers win a national title.
