Why Yes, We'll Take Your Free Stuff

WVU and Panasonic have entered into an exclusive deal that makes Mountaineer facilities the proving ground for all of Panasonic's newest audio/video equipment. Before the cutting-edge technology is available to rest of the nation's programs (and professional teams), it will be installed at WVU's Mountaineer Field and Coliseum.
Considering WVU's somewhat sketchy past when it comes to technology in our facilities, this is welcome news. Fans and recruits alike love the video boards, or should I say board since we're still waiting on the Coliseum edition. Hopefully this partnership will speed that process along.
And I think I speak for all of us when I say that this agreement better improve the out-of-town score updates at Mountaineer Field. As far as I know, they're still showing scores from the 3:30 games on October 12, 2002.
And, just for good measure, here's the cast of Coyote Ugly on a Panasonic flat-screen. Why? No idea.

I forgot what Trya Banks looked like when she was skinny. Too bad she ate her way out of hotness.
This is AWESOME news. I have been to the Dean Dome and the screens were great for replays but also gives WVU even more chance for ad revenue.

Andrew Carnegie was also good at ‘steeling.’
The jumbotron at Mountaineer Field is nearly as embarrassing as the Coliseum’s video board.

I remember when the scoreboard at the Coliseum was new. It was very exciting at the time.
Of course, that was a long time ago.

Panasonic also makes electric shavers. I say use Brady Campbell’s nasty red beard as a proving ground, and shave that thing off. The Mountaineer statue doesn’t have a beard. Natalie Tennant didn’t have a beard – not after extensive electrolysis, anyway. Where is it written that the Mountaineer has a beard?
Speaking of the Mountaineer statue, it looks disturbingly like Keanu Reeves. Same hair, same blank surfer dude stair.

surfer dude stare, that is.
Lost without spell check I am.

Smart move on their parts since it seems at least one school in Michigan is willing to pay to dollar to get anything we have.
